Diane Bristow, a principal with Neuberger, Quinn, Gielen, Rubin & Gibber, P.A., is a litigator who handles a broad spectrum of cases including landlord-tenant, business, employment, and custody and divorce disputes.

Diane has extensive experience representing commercial landlords with multimillion-dollar portfolios and individual property owners in commercial and residential landlord-tenant litigation. Well known for her knowledge of landlord-tenant law and her ability to achieve successful outcomes for clients, she is frequently asked by organizations to lecture on various landlord-tenant matters.

In addition, Diane regularly represents businesses and individuals in fraud, breach of contract, fraudulent conveyance, tortious interference with a contract, violations of noncompete agreements, and other business-related litigation in state and federal courts.

In the area of federal and state employment law, Diane has achieved favorable settlements and decisions for employers facing allegations of violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Title VII, Family and Medical Leave Act and Maryland's Wage Payment and Collection Law. She also defends employers against gender discrimination, sexual harassment, hostile work environment and unemployment law claims.

Diane's tireless work on a domestic case was acknowledged in The Daily Record on April 15, 2013, when the Counseling, Helpline & Aid Network for Abused Women (CHANA) praised her "selfless, tenacious and effective advocacy on behalf of domestic violence victims."

Prior to joining Neuberger, Quinn, Gielen, Rubin & Gibber, P.A., Diane practiced law in California where she represented women in breast implant litigation cases and companies in product liability disputes.  

Diane is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court; U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts for the District of Columbia; U.S. District Courts for the Districts of Maryland and California; and state courts in Maryland, the District of Columbia and California.

Diane is currently president of the Board of Directors for Forward Visions, Inc., a nonprofit association that provides group homes and family support services to adults with severe disabilities.  She has been a member of the board since 2004 and previously served as its vice-president.

Extremely active in the Women's Bar Association for the State of Maryland, Diane serves on the board and currently holds the office as immediate past president; She has also served as president, president-elect, vice-president, secretary and treasurer; and is the former co-chair of its Judicial Selection Committee. She is a member of the Bar Association of Baltimore City, serving on its Bench Bar Committee, Historical Committee, Family Law Committee and Professional Ethics Committee.

Diane is also a fellow of the American Bar Association Foundation; a docent for the Circuit Court for Baltimore City Museum; and was named an alumni fellow for the Darden College of Education at Old Dominion University.

Before pursuing a career in the law, Diane was a speech-language pathologist and assistive technology specialist who lectured extensively nationally and internationally. She published peer-reviewed articles and a book chapter on assistive technology.

Diane earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from Southwestern School of Law in Los Angeles, California, where she graduated first in her class. She also holds a M.S. from Purdue University and a B.S., magna cum laude, from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
