Samuel Gertel, an associate with Neuberger, Quinn, Gielen, Rubin & Gibber, P.A., is a corporate and tax attorney whose practice encompasses business and tax planning, mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, financing and real estate. He works with a wide variety of businesses, including commercial real estate developers, health care servicers, automobile dealers and other clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Samuel provides thoughtful insights while facilitating multimillion-dollar transactions, complex securitized borrowing arrangements and business contracts. While keeping the bigger picture in mind, Samuel advises on the interpretation of contract clauses and, where necessary, advises on contract modifications. He also applies his research and technical background to provide counsel on federal, state and local tax compliance and audit issues.
Before joining the firm, Samuel worked as a senior associate in the Family Wealth Services group of RSM US LLP (formerly McGladrey LLP) in Baltimore where he advised high-net-worth clients on matters related to individual, trust, partnership, corporate and gift taxation. Samuel also worked as an attorney with Old Line Legal Aid Foundation, Inc., assisting clients in negotiating with the IRS and the Comptroller of Maryland.
Samuel earned his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law, a B.S. in Business Management from Touro College in New York, and his B.T.L. and M.T.L. from Ner Israel Rabbinical College.
