Shlomo Kanner, a principal with Neuberger, Quinn, Gielen, Rubin & Gibber, P.A., handles matters in the area of estates and trusts.  He also has experience in matters involving commercial, corporate and general civil litigation for individuals and corporations. His diverse clients include commercial property owners, real estate developers, automobile dealerships, service providers, contractors, manufacturers and retailers.

Committed to forging lasting relationships with each company and individual he represents, Shlomo's clients regularly seek his counsel throughout various stages of their companies' lifecycles. When a business dispute arises, Shlomo is skilled in handling cases from their inception, obtaining resolutions through litigation or settlement negotiations, and has achieved numerous favorable outcomes for clients.

Shlomo served as defense counsel in both a class action lawsuit and a mass action lawsuit where the corporations he represented risked significant financial exposure and harm to their reputations. In both litigations, he was instrumental in minimizing out-of-pocket costs and negative publicity while achieving a favorable settlement for his clients.

Before pursuing his legal career, Shlomo worked as a laboratory researcher in the field of biochemistry and co-authored two papers that were selected for publication in prestigious scientific journals. His background in biochemistry was invaluable during his representation of a Maryland-based biochemistry company that develops and markets its patented products to industry leaders around the globe when it was involved in a dispute with one of its partners.

Shlomo earned his J.D. from the St. John’s University School of Law in New York where he received the St. Thomas More full-tuition scholarship. While in law school, Shlomo interned for Judge Meryl Berkowitz of the Supreme Court of Nassau County, New York; worked as a summer associate at Neuberger, Quinn, Gielen, Rubin & Gibber, P.A.; served as a member and senior staff of the St. John’s Moot Court Honor Society; and was an articles editor for the Journal of Civil Rights and Economic Development. As a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, Shlomo was a finalist in the Judge Elaine Jackson Stack Moot Court Competition and coached the team that received the award for best brief. Shlomo received his a B.A. from Ner Israel Rabbinical College. He joined Neuberger, Quinn, Gielen, Rubin & Gibber, P.A. following his graduation from law school.
